Bradford academic learning
Cambridge Pathway

A structured journey from Early Years to Advanced Level.

At Bradford, academic excellence is rooted in Cambridge International Education, personalised learning, critical thinking, and strong foundations from the earliest years.

Our approach combines subject knowledge with enquiry, reflection, communication, creativity, and disciplined study habits so learners grow into confident, independent thinkers.

  • Cambridge Early Years builds communication, language, mathematics, creativity, physical development, and social-emotional confidence.

  • Primary and Lower Secondary strengthen broad subject knowledge, enquiry, confidence, and progression.

  • Upper Secondary, IGCSE, AS Level, and A Level prepare learners for global study and future pathways.

  • Teachers monitor growth carefully, helping each learner build the skills, discipline, and confidence needed for the next stage.

Academic Foundation

Excellence built through knowledge, skills, and character.

Bradford’s academic programme is designed to help learners understand deeply, ask better questions, and apply learning with confidence.

01

Strong Foundations

Core literacy, numeracy, science, language, and digital skills are developed progressively from the earliest years.

02

Critical Thinking

Learners are encouraged to investigate, reason, solve problems, explain ideas, and make connections across subjects.

03

Personal Growth

Academic success is supported by confidence, resilience, communication, collaboration, and responsible learning habits.

Early Years Curriculum

Cambridge Early Years for children aged 1 to 6.

Our innovative Cambridge Early Years Program nurtures the essential developmental stages of children aged 1 to 6 years, enhancing each child's learning journey through active engagement, exploration, and play-based discovery.

The curriculum balances physical, cognitive, language, communication, and social-emotional development so children flourish in their early educational experiences and transition confidently into Primary School.

Structured, Supportive, Balanced

The CEY Curriculum gives a clear structure for teaching and learning, providing learners with a supportive platform to develop essential life skills. It harnesses natural curiosity and meets children in their search for knowledge through a hands-on teaching approach.

Tailored Teaching

Our teaching recognises that each learner is unique. We differentiate learning according to individual developmental needs and track progress throughout the year, preparing learners for the demands of the real 21st-century world.

Whole-Child Growth

We aim to help learners become critical thinkers, active problem-solvers, inquisitive readers, diligent researchers, productive citizens, future leaders, and prolific writers. Bradford's holistic approach focuses on the whole child and connects their development with the world and people around them.

Primary And Lower Secondary

Mathematics from foundations to advanced reasoning.

Learners build mathematical confidence through a carefully sequenced pathway that starts with early number sense and grows into abstract reasoning, modelling, data interpretation, and Cambridge examination readiness.

Grade 1-3

Foundation Phase

In the Foundation Phase, learners build strong early foundations in mathematical thinking through play, exploration, and structured activities.

Skills

Introduction to numbers, counting, shapes, and simple patterns. Learners begin to recognise mathematical language and apply it in everyday contexts.

Content

Basic operations, measurement, and time concepts are developed through concrete objects that help learners discover rules and relationships.

Outcome

Number sense, place value, and problem-solving strategies are strengthened as learners begin to explain reasoning and apply mathematics to simple real-life situations.

Grade 4-6

Primary

At Primary level, learners consolidate their foundations and begin to tackle more complex concepts with confidence.

Skills

Introduction to multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, geometry, and measurement in greater depth.

Content

Problem-solving expands through percentages, ratios, advanced fractions, data interpretation, and graphs.

Outcome

Learners prepare for secondary mathematics through algebraic thinking, geometry, statistics, and application across subjects and real-world contexts.

Lower Secondary to Advanced Level

High School Mathematics

In Secondary, learners move from fluency to advanced mathematical reasoning. The curriculum spirals upward, revisiting concepts at increasing levels of complexity to build confidence, depth, and higher education readiness.

Algebra and Functions

Linear equations, patterns, rules, quadratic equations, inequalities, and graphing functions.

Geometry and Measurement

Angles, transformations, area, volume, trigonometry, vectors, and deeper geometric reasoning.

Statistics and Probability

Data collection, analysis, interpretation, chance, risk, probability distributions, and statistical inference.

Calculus

Introduction to limits, differentiation, and integration concepts, depending on the learner's pathway.

Problem Solving

Real-life applications, logical arguments, evaluating solutions, and integrating mathematics across sciences, economics, and technology.

Additional Mathematics

Extended calculus, further algebra, trigonometry, and set notation for advanced pathways.

Skills Developed

  • Abstract and quantitative reasoning
  • Mathematical modelling and structured problem solving
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Clear, logical communication of solutions
  • Independent problem-solving and research skills
  • Integration of mathematical knowledge across disciplines

Advantages

  • Essential or strongly preferred for most STEM degrees
  • Builds rigorous analytical habits valued across sciences, economics, and technology
  • Strengthens logical thinking and quantitative reasoning for diverse academic and career pathways

Pathways

Recommended combinations: Mathematics + Physics, Mathematics + Chemistry, Mathematics + Computer Science.

Possible careers: Engineering, Architecture, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Finance.
